KONAVLE COUNTRYSIDE TOUR

Explore the heart of the Konavle Valley, the area known for its preserved beautiful national costumes and famous embroidery. Drive through the scenic villages where you are invited to a very special private home where you can see the traditional methods of silk production or go to Gruda and visit the old Mill where you can learn how flour was milled 500 years ago. Follow the forest path to the nearby restaurant of Konavoski Dvori for a taste of their famous trout dish and for the cool breeze off the Ljuta River.

You can even stop for the wine tasting in one od the local wineries as the area is well known for its vineyards.
Continue your tour to Cavtat, originally a Greek settlement called Epidaurus.

Around 228 BC it was under the Romans and later became a Roman colony. Cavtat also offers a 7 km promenade by pine forests paths only a few meters from the sea.
